A little bit about the shop and me...

 

Dare Boutique has been offering unique, high quality and affordable ladies fashion in Kirkburton since 2008 with its original founders Jo & Steven.
Fast forward to July 2024 and that’s when I took over the boutique…

I have always worked in Retail since leaving university but in a head office role. I have worked for some very well known UK brands on their buying & merchandising teams, trading their clothing departments. At 26 I then decided I wanted to travel, something I regretted not doing when I was younger. So off I went to Australia where the plan was never to stay long term, but I did… I lived there for almost 6 years working for their largest women’s clothing retailer head office.
I met my now husband over there but we wanted to relocate back home to start a family ... so here we are, back in sunny Huddersfield! I always knew I wanted to have my own little boutique one day and feel extremely lucky that after having our 2 gorgeous girls I was in a position to go for it. It was the right time!

And then Dare Boutique came along!

The boutique was already well established thanks to its original owners so hopefully I can continue it's success! I’m planning to keep the same brands and products that customers know and love and expect to find here, as well as introduce some new styling and products.

My favourite aspect of being in Dare Boutique is all the lovely customer's I have through the door. We're so lucky to be in such a nice area with a strong community feel and I genuinely love speaking to you all. There's no better feeling than finding someone the perfect outfit which they feel amazing in and to see them leave the shop with a big smile on their face!
